Don't go to Mallorca in October, it's the rainy season and I had an awful time a few year ago with the weather.

For October, I'd definitely suggest looking at San Sebastian

    The whole area is stunning

Thanks for that suggestion mcfisco I like the look of this place but could you tell me where you fly from to get there as it looks like any airport up north costs the earth and takes about 23 hrs with 3 connections
  • We are going to Thailand at that time of year

The Dominion Republic has some great deals on, and theweather’s fantastic!

A lot of the holidays over there are package, completewith flights, accommodation and food. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t be verygood, but it was a 4* resort with great food and facilities.

Just make sure youget your vaccinations up to date before you go.

I can second Thailand, we went last week in oct first in Nov. Its just before high season, so good deals to be done. We went to Au Nang in Krabi for 9 nights, and then Bangkok for 3 nights. Krabi is amazingly beautiful. We booked the first 2 nights, then sorted the rest when we go there. We asked to see the best rooms at each hotel, and they were were very good prices.

It's like a bounty bar! With plenty to see and do to keep you amused.
  • Fairly common suggestion on here, but the canaries are nice around that time
