    I think you've all clocked on I'm quite young. So I thought I'd give you a bit of background quickly to understand.

    I'm 19 and this is my first, proper full-time job, although I did have some very good part-time employment.

    Leaving my part-time roles was very simple compared to this, hence the lack of knowledge of the 'etiquette' required.

    I also stated that the company would rather do me a bad turn than a good one before. And I'll just explain one situation to show you why;

    Me and the one remaining technician, both booked holiday before the third guy left. His was the first week of the rota, mine was across the second and third week.

    This is how the rota looked for his holiday,

    Week 1;

    Mon - Hols
    Tues - Hols
    Wed - Hols
    Thu - OFF
    Fri - OFF
    Sat - Hols
    Sun - Hols

    So for 5 days holiday, he got one week off. As they didn't count his regular days off as holiday,

    For me it was;
    Week 2;

    Sat - Hols
    Sun - Hols

    Week 3;
    Mon - Hols
    Tue - Hols
    Wed - Hols
    Thu - Hols
    Fri - 7 hours
    Sat - 7 hours
    Sun - 6 hours.

    Not a great amount. But for an extra days holiday - I actually got a day less?

    I'm even going in all day on Thursday to cover the other guy who is at a funeral, but there's no mention of what's going to happen with my days holiday, whether I'll get to book it again (only have until the end of july to do so) or whether I get paid for it - but nobody knows yet. Ridiculous.

    Also just spoke to the people from yesterday.

    They said - Whether the notice is 1 week or 4 weeks, the job will be there for me at the end of it. Which is nice.

    Even offered to look over my contract and make sure for me.
