Please do not get me started about the Rip-off Olympics. It has been little more than an excuse to financially rape this country and that has been as plain as a pikestaff from Day 1. The G4S debacle is one example and NCP shamelessly lining its coffers is simply another. There are plenty of others - look at some of the cheaper overnight-style hotel websites for starters). The people who have my sympathy are the Eastenders who are going to suffer all the b*llsh*t inconvenience and the athletes - both able-bodied and those competing at the Paralympics - on the backs of whom some of these companies are making an absolute killing.

I don't know about being proud? This country should be hanging its head in shame at allowing the state to connive at pouring huge quantities of public money into increasingly fewer private pockets (most of which are already bulging to bursting point) and yet we scream for more?[/rant mode]
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Use of the word 'punishing' is a bit loaded isn't it? They aren't punishing anyone for living in London, they are jumping on the Olympic bandwagon to make extra cash. As are ordinary people who are going on holiday and renting their flats out. It is abhorrent and unscrupulous behaviour, but it isn't some form of retribution.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

She writes It is raising prices at the 38 of its 104 London car parks that are closest to Olympic venues.
Why would the increase be 100% at Shepherd's Bush and only 4% at Knightsbridge when Knightsbridge is nearer to east London than Shepherd's Bush?

I was in agreement with all this until about 10 minutes ago, when I heard some jumped-up American nobody criticising our organisation of the Games.

We might curse and moan internally, but I'm damned if I'll tolerate some johhny-come-lately yankeedoodle coming here as a guest of our Prime Minister and sneering.

So, Mr so-called Romney, why don't you Foxtrot Romeo Oscar back to Nebraska, Saskatchewan, Poughkeepsie or some equally ridiculously-named place, and enjoy a nice cup of tea US-style - 25 cases of leaf tea immersed in 240,000,000 gallons of cold salt water.

Oh, and we all really hope your $millions DON'T buy you the Presidency later this year.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
