Question re Pet Insurance

I moved in with my boyfriend recently and made the tough decision to leave my two British Shorthair's with my parents. It seemed mean to take them away from my parents cats and move them to s strange place. Also my boyfriend has a cat who I don't think would take well to two new male cats!
Anyway, both boys are insured with Petplan and have been for the last five years. However the premiums are getting ridiculous, I am now paying nearly £25 a month for both.
I want to switch but I am concerned about how it works if they aren't kept at my address. Does that have any impact or not? I have seem that some websites ask that question, others don't?
Any ideas?
Thanks

You really need to contact the insurers directly to discuss the change of circumstances, you don't want to have a claim refused because we have given you erroneous information. Who will be tasking the cats to the vets and paying for treatment? If it's your parents the insurers *may* deem this a change of ownership.
Whilst I don't think £25 for two is that bad, Petplan is quite pricey, AXA usually works out cheaper for the same high level of cover. HOWEVER have your boys had ANY veterinary care other than vaccinations and flea treatment in the last five years? Even the smallest stomach upset can mean you have exclusions if you switch. Lastly how old are they? Many insurers have limitations on the age at the start of the policy.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

Well they are my cats so my responsibility and I will be the ones who take them to the vets and pay, etc.
No, nothing other than vaccinations. They are four & five.0 -

£25 a month for two cats seems a bargain considering they're pedigrees and are insured by a decent, reputable and professional company.0 -
As others had said, £25 is a good price. If you can aford it I would leave well alone and just change the address if it was me. xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. You may find your premium reduces with the move, as PP include address as a factor in premiums.
It sounds like a reasonable price from a decent company and would be surprised if you would get much lower.NOT a NEWBIE!

Why not get a quote from Axa and compare?0

I wish I could pay £25 for two cats... my lot are £20.00 each....5 of them. Last one is £24.00....but he is with Argos and has had an op so can noit move him.
The 5 cats at 20 each (well, £19.99) are with Pet plan - 3 of them are 2 years old, one is 6 years old and one is 10 months old.. same price for all of them.. London post code0 -

It won't as the cats haven't moved. It could invalidate the insurance if a false address is given for the cats.0 -

Lord, that is ridiculous!
All of my cats are indoor only, which is why to me the insurance is expensive. I can get Lifetime Insurance for £6 each with Pets at Home, whereas I am on the basic limited package with PetPlan0 -
Well mine are London prices..... cats are insured for 7k each vet fees, I see no point getting insurance for a smaller amount vet fees as one never knows....0
