Vodafone 07041 numbers
I think Vodafone need to tell people before charging them for, 07041 numbers, it does not give warning at all that it wont be included in your minutes.
Anyone know what network it is at all?

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

070 numbers are not mobile numbers but personal numbering services. I have one of these numbers that I point at mobile numbers of local SIM cards that I use when abroad. The hefty amount paid by UK callers to phone these numbers is enough to pay for the ongoing call to the foreign mobile number, with no cost to me to receive the call.0

They are mostly used by scam organisations, they call you, leave a garbled voicemail, but somehow the part about what number to call comes through clear as a bell, and then rake it in when the unsuspecting call back.0

Scam artist cannot profit from getting callbacks to 070 numbers, so your reasoning is somewhat flawed. They are used for their original purpose as a 'Personal Number' sometimes called a 'number for life'. This allows the user to ensure the number always points to the best physical number for them, meaning a list of (say) 10 numbers can be reduced to 1.
The call charges have meant this great idea has almost died, but that is a different issue.0 -

So when was the 070 ( Wangiri (literally, "One (ring) and cut") scam finally stopped then ?
It seems it still goes on in some quarters http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Calls.aspx/0700 -
It ended when OFCOM stopped revenue sharing schemes on 070 numbers, which I recall was just over 2 years ago. However, this wasn't really a scam, as it depended on the recipient to give a damn and call back the caller due to a supposed 'missed call' - I think these days, most users are quite happy for the caller to call back!0

It was a Scam in the past.

It seems like it could still happen in certain circumstances.
"In certain scenarios we may be able to return a revenue on 070 numbers but the reguations are quite complex so we recommend speaking to one of our sales agents prior to connection."
