In a private car park, where there is no need for it to be displayed, it still shows that you are disabled.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

Yep. If I was ever unfortunate enough to be in a position where I was given a Disabled Blue Badge to assist with parking on public highways I think I would still display it in private carparks when in one of their unofficial disabled parking bays just to avoid the attention of the parasites.

However, a few years ago Mrs HW2010 had to have an operation on her foot which meant walking was difficult, she was on crutches and in constant pain. She came with me to our local B&Q which shares a private carpark with a number of other businesses. I had no hesitation in parking in one of their 'disabled' bays to minimize how far Mrs HW2010 had to walk. Especially as we used one of about 20 empty similar bays. Had we been given a ticket it would have been tossed in the nearest bin.

Happily Mrs HW2010 made a full recovery and now we obviously park in a normal bay. Although we are boycotting B&Q as they only ever seem to have self serve tills open when I go there - call me old fashioned but when spending money I do like to be treated as a customer rather than an inconvenience.

Because the Blue Badge scheme does not apply to private car-parks. By limiting disabled parking to blue badge holders it breaks equality legislation by discriminating against disabled people who do not have a blue badge.
I tend to think of the marked bays as a request to leave them for people who might need them, and the badge as a sign that the person in the bay isn't a selfish git who wants to jump to the front of the queue.

It's the same with parent and child spaces - there's no legal requirement, but parents might need to open their doors wider to get kids out (and so need the space not to bash the car next to them), kids might run off (you only have to look away for a moment!), and so-on.

I've used a marked space when recovering from an operation, but otherwise will leave them alone for somebody who needs them more than me.

Regardless of whether there are scammers trying to rip people off with their fake parking tickets con, it doesn't mean that we should be selfish to prove the point.

You won't find any of the regular posters on here endorsing people to be selfish by parking in bays meant for disabled parkers, whether it's on public land or in private car parks. My take on it is if you need to use the bays because you need them then use them regardless of whether you have a blue badge or not.

But should you get an invoice for parking there, then that should be ignored utterly unless you receive stamped court papers, or if you are driving a company vehicle or lease/hire car
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Upside down, wrong way around its still a blue badge. The PPC has decided that because they could not see the dates they will issue an invoice.

A PPC has no authority to inspect a blue badge, so if chav Johnny wants to use his grannies blue badge the PPC cant do anything about it, as the conditions are a blue badge must be displayed.

So chav Johny gets no invoice!

Disabled person gets invoice because blue badge was upside down, wrong way round!

Its just a convenient opportunity for them to issue an invoice!

9th and 10th words...retail park. No need to read further.

PPC = Private= Ignore, ignore, ignore some more.

If you've got any questions about this, please do NOT ask them; read thestickies where they will all be answered.

Your case is not special in any way whatsoever and does not have any unique aspects to it so as with99.99999999999999999999999999999% of PPC the answer is still....Ignore, ignore, ignore some more.

Oopsadaisy I would add a proviso there, a company car or hire/lease one needs attention , ignoring is not really an option
