Doesn't seem bad at all.
Labour was a bit dear, but I'm used to mine at £50 an hour.
I don't know how hard it was to fit it, how long were you there?0 -
They had my car over night because they had to order an alternator, so I have no idea how long it took them.0

Some can be real pigs to get to, and get off, after 9 years. Maybe the labour could have been a few quid cheaper, but then again who knows what jobs they bumped to get yours in. Sounds like an hour, at a reasonable rate, compared to a dealer.0

Sister was just quoted £165 (supply only) for a new alternator so I'd say it sounds not bad.0

The garage that replaced the alternator charged me £244.56 fitted inc. VAT. Is this a bit steep?
I paid £180 inc VAT for a new one for a MK3 Mondeo supplied and fitted at the main dealer.
However reconditioned ones were just £10 less from motor factors and I'd have to pay for fitting which would make it about what you paid.0
