Barclay Card Credit Limit

Yes, my credit limit has been upped to £12,500 from £10,000 without asking. I pay off monthly most of the time and have been a customer for 24 years. They also have reduced the interest charge to 11.9% APR permanently. I know they are not necessarily the best CC provider, but they have been OK to me over the years. I suppose I must be a 'loyal' customer!

Yep, under the Data Protection Act we all have the right to opt out of automatic decision making and ask for a manual review, when an actual person has to consider the matter.

If you use the email addresses for Barlcays in my previous email and ask them to do the above, they might not change the limit but they will do a manual review. I have been dealing with a member of staff in the Barclaycard BCR Correspondence and Complaints team, when they answer the phone they say "recruitment", which puzzled me until I found out through google it is actually customer recruitment and not staff recruitment. I dont really want to put the phone number on here as it is a direct line number for one member of staff, and having been so nice to me, it might cause her a lot of hassle having to divert calls.
