How to find out whether I was mis-sold PPI?

Options
My lady took out a loan in 2001ish with Citi Financial. The account has since been paid off.

She believes PPI may have been mis-sold to her, but has no idea about account numbers and does not possess any statements/agreements/paperwork related to the account.

So, does anyone on here know how to find out about PPI mis-selling on accounts that the holder has no information on?

Thank you very much.

Rob.

She doesnt need the agreement. She just needs to put in a complaint stating why she thinks she was mis-sold. She also needs to supply enough personal info for them to identify her (name, addresses (current and past if applic), date of birth).

Ok, she's not sure she was mis-sold PPI, but remembers feeling pressured and rushed into taking out the loan. As there was a culture of PPI mis-selling amongst the banking industry back then, she suspects PPI was added on.
  • She has no evidence to back this theory up.

then i don't think you have a strong complaint, you have to prove you were mis-sold and he said/she said claims are extremely difficult to prove :(

You are of course joking arn't you?
It would be fraudulent to make a claim that was unfounded and could result in court proceedings.
Not even mentioning the fact that it would hold up others in the system who have valid claims!!!!
