    I am so jealous!

There are lots of lovely ideas on Pinterest, I especially like the party hats with dinosaur spikes on!
  • the sweetie shop in my town does a child size dinosaur pinata which my son literally drools over whenever we go in there, maybe see if you can get one of those???

You might be able to hire a dinosaur tin from your local cookshop - often only £1/night or so - and depending on what kind of party you're having you can use this not only for cake but jelly, ice-cream, meatloaf, frittata etc. Wilton have done several moulds and most places that rent them out will have a dinosaur.

There's also a few dinosaur cupcake/muffin tins available. The nicest are the Nordic Ware and John Wright ones but they are distinctly pricey. There are however silicon moulds available on ebay and you could let the kids decorate their own individual cakes.

Last idea for a cake is a simple one - all kids like rice krispie cakes don't they? Make milk chocolate version in a tray and make a depression in it in the shape of a dinosaur footprint then fill the footprint with a white chocolate version - google for images of footprints

I was 23 yesterday and would have LOVED a dinosaur themed party... Primark at the moment have mens dinosaur one-sies for adults, if you could get a tall man to volunteer to dress up.

Lots of fab idea's, just be prepared that at 4yrs they are probably just going to run around chasing each other and yelling quite a lot, be kind to yourself and limit it to 2 hours tops!

Thanks everyone for the brilliant ideas, some have given me a real giggle!!

I think i'll attempt a cake and the cornish pasty idea sounds great, definately go for some dino sandwiches and games. I think they maybe a bit little for some of the games and all the other kids will be younger than them.
