Water monthly payment extra charge

in Water bills
Apologies in advance, I'm a new money saving addict and this may have been discussed before. I've just worked out from my water bill that Thames Water charge me around 25% on top of the total charges just because I make monthly payments. Is this correct? And is there any way I can avoid paying this charge but continue to make monthly payments?

I would not think they would charge that amount. Check the number of months you are expected to pay.
Some only ask for ten payments.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Welcome to the forum.
As stated above, few companies split the bill into 12 payments; it seems to vary between 8 and 11 payments.
The total of your monthly payments should come exactly to the bill amount(to a penny). They normally make the first payment a penny or two more(or less) to get the exact amount.0
