Weekly email received too late??

Received my weekly email today (Thursday)! Which means I am not able to take advantage of the deal which was available yesterday and only yesterday. It says:

Today (Wed) only. 50% off code for jewellery outlet 40-70% off sale.

So not a lot of use!

Why do I receive it too late??

When is it showing as sent for you ?
Mine was sent just after midday on Weds (went into my spam folder as usual, bloody hotmail, not MSE's fault).

The email goes to something like 7 million people. If you're sending emails to that many people, it has to be be done over around 12-18 hours, otherwise Money Saving Expert will get themselves blacklisted as spammers for sending out too many emails over too short a time period.

The problem is sometimes emails don't send the first time and then the system has to try again. A bit like a digital version of the postman missing you and coming back later, so it can be quite late on Wednesday when the final emails are received. This is mostly likely to happen on Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail accounts. (BT Internet and Virgin Media are also affected as they use white labelled versions of Yahoo and Gmail respectively.) If you can get an email address that doesn't use one of these providers then you stand a better chance of getting the email earlier.

I don't have an account with any of those!

Just have to accept that I wont always be able to take advantage of the deals on offer. I do appreciate that the email goes out to a very large number of people though, just pointing out that I and I am sure others miss some opportunities.

The weekly email also goes up on the main site on a Tuesday night when we start sending it.
