Morning All,
Hope everyone is feeling better this morning.
Just about to strip the bed, its a bit overcast but fingers crossed it will brighten up, and I can peg out.
Need to cancel the car insurance this morning. Since finishing work we are becoming a once car family. To be honest the little car I have been using is really on it's last legs and needs to go the great car graveyard!
I don't mind, walking will do me good and I can always wait or late afternoons or weekends if I want to use the car.
Have a viewing on Friday and the couple have already sold and completed yeh, just hope they like ours.
So the cleaning I normally do on Saturday will be done tomorrow, and fingers crossed the sun shines.
No idea for tea tonight, the boys play football so something quick before they go out. I will have fish and salad as usual.
Anyway enough waffle, have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning everyone,
Best wishes to all who are suffering at the moment, hope you are feeling better soon. Well, need I say it but its raining again here.
In work, the last day of the week for me, think its going to be quiet again though which is really lonely for me. Still I have the library to keep me occupied.
Had gammon, new pots, peas & sweetcorn out the freezer for tea last night. dd3 played on the wii whilst dd2 was out at friends till 10.30. When she came back, we sat down and had a chat because I've been noticing that she isn't eating properly. She admitted that she has been feeling unwell for a few days so we chatted to sort this out. Basically she doesn't eat properly. She misses breakfast and dinner and I don't know what she has for tea as she is at her dads then! She is only 16 so I want to try and nip this in the bud now before it escalates. As I am at work before she gets up in the morning I am just going to have to trust her and she says she will start to change her habits now because she doesn't want to feel ill anymore. I just hope she sticks to it, will ring her soon and check.
The other dd3 is an avid watcher of supersize v superskinny at the mo (have to admit I am too) so we sat and chatted about what she planned to do. I was told what I could and couldn't buy when I go shopping so I need to stick to my list (I've been told)
Lost two of my goldfish in the pond yesterday, don't know what has killed them. Everytime I restock the pond, they end up dying or being the local herons breakfast!
Still deathly quiet at work. Going to get another cuppa and ring my boss to annoy him I think. I feel in that kind of mood :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone, summer will be here on Saturday! And then we'll be moaning its too hot.0 -
Morning everybody,
well its stopped raining but its still very grey.I need to fish something out of the freezer for tea.Yesterday we had mince ,chips and mushy peas,at DH request, which seemed an ok plan in the morning ,but come tea time the sun came out and the kitchen was boiling by the time the oven chips were done.Perhaps quiche with new potatoes-I can put the quiche in the Remoska if we want it warm and that doesnt heat the kitchen up.
I've almost finished the top I was making, just the hem to do now.Looks ok I think.I need to tidy round the house today as I have my old schoolfriend coming tomorrow. She is retiring as a teacher today and has been counting the days. She and her Dh live in East Yorkshire but they want to move to our side of the Pennines as their DD now lives over this way.We are going to go out for our lunch, but we'll probably come back here after.
I need to put another wash load on next though, the TD will have to be used as some of the stuff that has been drying inside on airers smells horrible, and there have been complaints to the management :DI had noticed it myself-just hoped the menfolk hadnt ;)Thats the trouble when you dont have any heating on,its been taking ages to dry inside.
Good luck to all the leavers, and their parents. When I worked at primary school,it used to get a bit emotional for some of the staff too during the leavers assemblies.
Hope everyone has a good day xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Morning All.
Sorry to hear so many are not feeling well - hope things improve soon.
Went up to the Proms last night and had a really lovely evening - apart from DH being really freaked out when he discovered our seats were as high up as its possible to go! Although we booked early we just had to take what was available - and I didn't actually check on the seating plan! He really, really doesn't do heights (we've stood at the bottom of the Empire State building, the bottom of the CNN Tower, etc!!!) so it took him until way into the second half to relax. We just had time for a pizza before catching last train home again - and that was our friend's treat as I'd bought the tickets.
Rain just beginning here for today...
DGD is coming for first 4 weeks of the holidays from Sunday so getting quite excited about that now!
Have just had parcel of material delivered so am looking forward to getting machine out soon. It's moleskin to make waistcoat for DH.
Love your daughter's poem BB! I do miss things like Leavers' Assemblies.
HH good to see you posting this morning!
Oh well, must get myself into work mode I think!
Take care everyone!Resolution:

Flutterby feel better soon.
LW look after yourself love( sending positive healing thoughts).
JackieO I always like to hear what you are doing with your grandsons and family-I am taking lessons for when I attain grandmahood!
Waiting for the carpet fitter to ring to say what time tomorrow the bedroom carpet is being fitted. Bed comes Tuesday . Must wash the new bedding. I ended up taking the expensive set bought at the House of Frazer sale back as it didn't match the walls. So that was OS.....LOL!
OH posted some N**t bargain clothes to DD in Japan yesterday, paracetamol and antihistamine. £10 ouchie! Can't do it too often but N*xt clothes are twice the price in Japan for the same garments.
Tea will be cottage pie and vegetables. I have some apples for a crumble and OH is still after a lemon drizzle cake......
Well hugs to all who are poorly or need one and those whose children are leaving schools, colleges and uni this summer.
Have a good day.

Hester good to see you back – folks were worried about you!:o
Bargainbird oh, what a sweet poem! *passes BB a Kl££nex *;)
I've taken advantage of Mr LW's presence to wash the bathroom mats – got him to peg them out for me.:A
Dins will be ready shortly - HM veggie lasagne. I've made enough for tomorrow too, as Mr LW will be on late shift, so when he gets in, we can just nuke it and eat.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning All
Went shopping this morning and somehit the car in the car park, but luckily there was a little old lady who witnessed it and she called DH over when we were putting the shopping in the car. The driver didn't even have the decency to leave a note
Only scraped our bumper though and a bit of back to black will sort it, but she has done quite a bit of damage to her BRAND NEW  car, that will teach her to take more care. If she wanted to be funny I would have pointed out the 6 CCTV cameras in the car park.
Hells bells  now we have the police helicopter hovering overhead
Nice to see that you are still breathing Hester
Bitsy (((((Hugs)))))
bargainbird awww that is lovely.
Our schools don't break up until tomorrow so leavers assembly is in the morning.

Afternoon everyone.
My lot don't finish school until next Weds
H pretty despondent today, his last day in the office is Tuesday but they refused garden leave and he hates being thereI hate seeing him like this, he's normally a pretty even keel kinda guy so it's hard waching him feel so down. Anyway shan't go on, getting stressed won't help anyone now will it. We have a couple of weeks away in my mum and dads caravan to look forward to, I did suggest to H that we cancel but he said no. We have money budgeted for it and if weather improves like its supposed to then we will have lots of uber cheap days spent on the beach. Kids are young enough not to be bothered by that, they love being outside.
Tea will probably be something with chicken as I have one roasting in the Remoska as we speak.
Right better get on, lunch has been eaten, house is a tip, I have beds to strip and remake, peppers to chop and freeze and vac to put round before the kids get home from school!
BB that was a lovely poem :T
butterfly glad your car is relatively unscathed
Sirens happy birthday to your DS
Hester nice to see you back
Gintot oh my I find N**t clothes overpriced in this country
Hugs and spoons all round xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
