The Travelex card is better (cheaper), and you can get it more quickly.

They are both issued by R. Raphael and Sons, so have the same back office service and technical infrastrcuture.
Why would anyone go with a different card?

TravelEx Cash Passport Globe ( http://www.travelex.co.uk/uk/cash-passport-globe.aspx ) is the cheapest all-round prepaid card.

Bear in mind that in Thailand most ATMs charge a withdrawal fee, so it's one of the few places where it still makes some sense to use Travellers' Cheques. However, the ATM charge isn't huge, and there used to be a few ATMs (Aeon bank) that don't charge at all - not sure if that's still the case.

I go to Thailand regularly and never bother with TCs. Yes, the ATM charge is a pain but there are machines everywhere so cards are much more convenient. The charge is BHT 150 which is about £3 so it makes sense to take out at least £100 at a time (say BHT 5000) rather than small withdrawals.

    um... isn't that a contradiction?

No. If I said "I live in Dover and want to get to Calais, which flight would be best for me?" - the best advice that fits into their remit wouldn't be the best advice for their situation.

Exactly the same for this thread - the best advise that fits into their remit isn't the best advice for their situation.

??? Sorry, but this post, as well as the analogy is utter bunkum.

Don't apologise, we can't all have decent verbal reasoning skills.
