If there are 2 users on a joint bank current account.
Primary user (to be removed)
Secondary user,
and the Primary user wants to remove themselves from the account
1) Will this have a negative impact on Primary users credit file?
2) Will this leave the 'secondary' holder as the new Primary holder?
(as they will be the only user on the account? )

As I understand things there are no primary/secondary users, it is joint. Why not just close it and open individual accounts? This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

as per Bryan; close the joint account and open a new account..0

with virtually no information provided, simply removing yourself from a joint bank account will probably have no impact on your credit rating
however if that meant you then had no current a/c that would be unfortunate0 -
You don't need to make 2 posts about the same thing, just add to your original post.0
