mobiles.co.uk - no free gift and not responding to emails

My wife ordered a Samsung Galaxy s2 through mobiles.co.uk a couple of weeks ago, and the offer included a free Arnova 7 G2 tablet. The phone arrived as expected with no problems but the tablet did not. It says on mobiles.co.uk that both items will be despatched at the same time but obviously this has not happened. I have emailed them 3 times with no response and I don't know what else to do. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there still a mobiles.co.uk rep on here?

Really disappointed with them, my own contract is up at the end of August but think I will be going elsewhere!

If they have broken the t&c at the time you ordered, send a Letter Before Action and then sue if it doesn't materialise within 7 days.
  • I've tried ringing but sick of paying a fortune to be kept on hold.

Thanks for the advice mobilejunkie, I will give them to the end of the week and then send one. What would i actually be suing for? The value of the tablet on the open market (think it's worth around £90)?

Why wait? They have failed to respond to emails. Send a copy of the LBA by email to speed things up.

As for the what; I could be wrong here, but yes - the value of the item they failed to supply. Plus court fees, naturally. In my experience you can usually force them to act - though I am always prepared to take action if they don't (which, possibly, is why they do!).

And dont forget to add the cost of calling them while trying to sort things out.

I used Mobiles.co.uk a few weeks ago when i placed an order with them. rang them up and ordered a phone, they said they would send a confirmation email of my order. Next day arrived, no email so I rang them up, they got my email address wrong as well my name, again no email so contacted them the next day, they got my email address wrong again and still not corrected my name on the order. i was transferring my number to talkmobile so i gave them my pac code at time of ordering, my phone arrived and on the day my number was supposed to go over to talkmobile, nothing happened and when i rang talkmobile they said they had not received the pac code from mobiles.co.uk and they could not discuss anything further as the name appearing on the order was not the name i had given which was my name! total shambles, so i sent the phone back.

Not directly linked to your problem but this company cant even take an order correctly.
