Talk Talk

Hello

I have just entered into a contract with talktalk for a phoneline connection via broadband as i am a home worker as a travel agent.
They are not supplying me with what i need.
I have an ip phone which when connects to the broadband drops out as i am paying for upto 14mpbs but only receiving upto 0.5mpbs.
Sureley if they are not providing me with what i need then am i in my rights to cancel the contract?
Hope you can help.

Nope your paying to get upto that speed, there is nothing about a minium speed.

How fast does it say you can get when you signed up.

You are also in breach of the T&C's if you are using a residential contract to run a business on.
TT are not responsible for your wi-fi connection between phone and router, so you need to test the line speed using ethernet from the master socket.
But if 0.5Mbps is all that your line can support, then changing ISP's will not make any differerence.

Depends if the OP is running their own business from home, or they're employed by a company and allowed to work from home either adhoc or permanently.

The latter doesn't require business broadband. I know, I had the same argument with Sky when I was an employee working from home.
