Hay,
I am 19 and work 45 hours a week, I am looking to quit my job or reduce my hours any help on how I can go about doing this and still be able to live/get same pay or more.
-I currently have 1500 in fixed rate isa for 2 years (4% interest)
-Just opened a e-saver (3.30% Monthly paid)
Both with Santander
i get 1000 a month pay (average no sunday pay included)
This is all I have and am currently doing so suggest anything I should do.

I know MSE advocates frugal living but I fear that living off the interest from £1,500 is taking the whole thing a bit too far!:rotfl:0 -

I've a couple of hundred £k in the bank and I can't afford to live off the interest. You're getting £60 a year. I doubt anyone can live on £1.15 per week!!
You'll have to get a job paying a higher hourly rate to be able to work less and earn the same/more.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Live of the interest on £1500? I think you need to brush up on your math.
Your legal choices are simple:
Get a better paying job.
Get more money for the job you've got... Ask for a rise?
Or find a part time job (as well) that doesn't feel like a job...Barman?
Projectionist? Busker? Stand up?0 -
I can save 350 a month for 1 year plus 1500 grand is 4500 saved plus no interest added. What you think i want to live but work less hours and not change my job0

From your previous threads you seen to have no mathematical/financial understanding at all.
With a 5% interest regular saver (average) plus the ISA you'll get around £140 interest a year, after tax.
You're taking home just over £5 an hour, so you could drop 28 hours a year and use your interest to cover them. A whole 32 minutes a week. Wow.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Wait 2 years for isa to mature (1500 with 4% a year), save up 350-500 a month 2 years (3.20% month) take the money to put after 2-3 years on a rental property rent house save money and some rent for 2 year the cut hours done. (need to pay mortgage or do with my dad as he said he would)
Rent will pay for mortgage0 -

Soulman: I suggest you marry Mildred. Although she clearly leads an expensive lifestyle, her capital should keep you (both) for 10 years or so.
Mildred: What could you possibly want with a 19 year old? Marry me instead.
