    no it is not a fail !!!
    an mot is a test of the basic safety standard of a car.
    how would it make the car unsafe! it wouldnt
    it just says not displayed!

    Just for future reference, it passed...
    Did put half a page of advisories on the Mot,which look terrible!.
    Anyway going on Ebay now.

    But that doesn't mean it's testable on an MOT. Speedometer and odometer are not testable items.
