Am feeling truly OS virtuous this afternoon :A I got back from work nice & early & baked some buns with some duck eggs donated to me. OH was moaning last night that there was nothing sweet in the house for pud (no, cos you've eaten it all ), so I thought I'd surprise him. I have of course, just tested one to check for poison levels :D They seem fine.....

Not much else to report, I've been away for a couple of days so the house is a tip, so had a bit of a mad rush clean/tidy/wash once over since I got in. My DVD free trial had just sent me the Da Vinci code, so that's tonight's entertainment sorted. Mushroom risotto for tea - the organic mushrooms iin Tesco were cheaper than the "normal" ones, so it should be good & tasty.

Not read the thread yet, so hope you're all OK. See ya

This OS stuff has got to me or rather the tightening of purse strings and I've only been looking on the board for a couple of days!! I got home, went to get potatoes out for tea to discover I'd some how not put the lid on the oil properly and it had been knocked over leaving a layer of oil all over the bottom of the cupboard...and I sulked because it was about 1/4 of the bottle gone and that's what...10p (cheapy oil)

Hi all, me again...I had a day off work today, a bit unplanned, but a result of the disagreement I found myself in yesterday. I won't go into too much detail, but I was coerced into doing something against company policy (on the instruction of a supervisor and in front of an angry customer so v.v.awkward). The customer ridiculed me for trying to stick to policy when the supervisor simply brushed it to one side!! I've since found out that what I did (albeit against my better judgement) was also illegal. I don't think I'd ever be prosecuted for it but I am so upset because of being ridiculed and for being belittled by a supervisor. I phoned them this morning and told the duty manager what happened - he said someone would call me back to discuss what to do next, but it's after office hours now and nobody has called me! What was I saying the other day about a dole queue, lol???

Unfortunately I haven't managed too much Old Styling today either - yes, a day at home is always lovely but I've been mostly brooding the day away. I really must get stuck in and get some chores done - I have a mountain of washing to do, and a lot of hoovering to do too.

    Bye for now.

per-lease you lot - I come here to escape from the dr who obsessed world that dd lives in and then i find it's just as bad here. Strange day at w**k - one of my colleagues wasn't feeling too well so wanted to lie down in the first aid room for a bit which means that one fo the first aiders has to sit with her. Well I was the only one in so off we went with me armed with two old take a breaks and instructions to her manager to get one of the other first aiders to releive me so that we could do half hour stints. Well he went off to a meeting and forgot about us and three and a half hours later someone remembered us but by this time we were both asleep - she on the bed and me on a chair head back catching flies. I was livid and dying for a pee but there's no phone and I'm not allowed to leave the patient even if she has only got period pain so I had to stay there. Still the snooze was quite nice :) Well I am home alone as exdh has remembered that I am neither his wife or his mummy and I made him do jobs last night for his keep and 10yodd is having tea at a friends. I may celebrate by doing nothing all night :)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
