If the bill is so overdue that they've threatened to cut you off, then they'll keep chasing you regardless.
If you don't make payment by the date they commence the cut-off procedure (which may be before the day they actually disconnect you) then you'll have to pay a reconnection fee on top of any outstanding bill. So if you want to continue the service then I suggest that you try and find alternative funds to settle the bill before pay day.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi Girl in need,
In relation top unpaid bills there are two specific timescale of relevance.
The first is 30 days. If a bill remains unpaid for a period of 30 days then a restriction is placed on the account. This isnt cutting the line off, it just bars your outgoing services (i.e phone and broadband).
The Second timescale is 90 days. If a bill remains unpaid for a period of 90 days then the line will be terminated (i.e cut off comepltely in the way macman has reffered).
As your original post doesnt confirm the timescale the bill has been outstanding then we cannot confirm which of the above two processes are being employed. However if it is your last bill that is unpaid it is likely that the first instance is relevant, meaning that a restriction would be placed on the account if the bill is not paid by the 30 day period. However payment of the outstanding balance in full will lift the restriction within 24-48 hours.
I trust this should explain to you which actions are being taken and what to expect, given that you are aware of your invoice dates and the date you will be able to fulfil the invoice.
Regards
Mark

Well you've already told us that, as the payment is well overdue-that's why they're chasing you.
Your pay-day is irrelevant to TT, so you risk disconnection if you go beyond the advised date.
Perhaps if you paid something on account in the meantime then they might be more amenable to moving the disconnection date?No free lunch, and no free laptop

When you sign a contract agreeing to pay by a certain date you cannot just move the date to suit yourself, sorry but that also does not work like that.0 -

What has that got to do with the subject of the thread, which is paying your bill on time can't quite work out how a disability excludes you from that.0 -
She won't be able to call them to tell them !!!'' Ok Marge, if anyone asks, you require 24-hour nursing care; Lisa's a clergyman; Maggie is seven people and Bart was wounded in Vietnam ''0

I'm not a big fan of talk talks customer service, but surely they're actually doing the right thing here. There's an outstanding payment and it's being chased. People scream when the company doesn't chase, mark their credit and call in debt collectors.Data protection is there for you, not for companies to hide behind0
