The S3 is the spec winner here. The AMOLED screen IS better, ive seen it, its beautiful, a vaste improvement over the Galaxy Nexus unit, and much better than any LCD ive seen, be it IPS, S-LCD2 or Retina.
Processor wise the quad Exynos is faster than the Tegra3. The main issue is the memory subsystem. The Exynos has A15 like memory controller features, the Tegra doesnt and isnt as fast as a result. The Exynos isnt a full hybrid like the Qualcomm S4, but it does have some A15 features. Benchmarks back this up. Exynos CPUs just result in a smoother experience, the Tegra, while more powerful in theory (in pure FLOPS terms) just spins it wheels and sometimes results in lag or stutter.
In terms of software features its not even close the S3 wins easily. The removable battery and SD card are a clear advantage as well.

Where the S3 loses is in the design, its ugly, positively F-ugly in the case of the blue one. If you can handle that then the S3 is the easy winner

In my opinion,I like Sumsung Galaxy S3 much more.
HTC has a non-pentile display & higher pixel per inch, every review I've read had said the HOX screen is better.

Also, early comparisons show the HOX camera to be much better.

Go and see them for yourself. After trying out a friend's HTC One X I bought the Galaxy S3 :D

Edited to add - another friend think we are crazy as his Nexus is pure android so he gets updates immediately and no manufacturer bloatware. Must say I like the additions Samsung have made to the S3, especially the extended task manager.
  • believe me HTC is no way near Samsung, the Samsung's (the world leader in screen technology) display is far better than any other mobile. HTC seems like it's made of bamboo.

So is it different spammers talking to each other or is it just one spammer talking to himself using different accounts?

Or am I just too suspicious and cynical?

What a suspicious bunch - just because they are newbies and have Spam-like names - could just be a coincidence ;)

    Honestly they're both very similar.

Best thing you can do is go to CPW/P4U and have a play with both and pick the one that you prefer.
