Cut the cat off before you scrap it, its worth £30-£40 on its own, T-Met are giving good prices at the minute. I got £200 for a MK4 Astra and Cat the other day

The cat is welded to the car:eek:

    Poor puss.

(sorry, couldnt resist, I'll get my coat then............)
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Common fault on Rovers especially 1800cc models?

:eek:Bad engine design with their inherent cooling system/gasket problems

not worth fixing! send it on to the 'heavenly scrapyard'

If its only the head leaking and nothing else you could try putting some k-seal in it...you might get a few more months out of it.
  • i scrapped my car recently which can be annoying as i did it a few years ago and i had to pay for it to be removed . if you search google for scrap my car you get plenty of options most just crush the car were they offer you metal prices and theres some that will use parts.try anycaraway my car was crashed damaged and they gave me crazy money:):).

Raise your hand if you think that post was a cleverly-disguised piece of self-promotion.

How can that be self-promotion, cleverly disguised or not? Please explain.
