My Dads dial up ISP is free24-7.net and since last week he has lost service, can't get connected to net at all. The website is down/gone so I can't get a phone number for him to call them and find out whats happened. Anyone know of a number to call them? They seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth
Thanks.

Thanks.

I think free24-7.net were bought out by Biscit Internet and I'm pretty sure I heard on BBC's Watchdog tonight that Biscit have gone out of business. Sorry if that's the case.
I'll try to find out some more info and post some links.

Thanks ever so much for your reply RoCas and for posting the helpful links. I'll pass the info onto my Dad. I've been telling him for ages to get onto broadband, maybe now he will:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

Geoisp is an alternative dial up isp to consider.
It's free, and they give you an ordinary phone number to dial in to.
So if you have an inclusive calls package the calls are free, or you can use 1899 and pay only their connection charge (5p) and surf as long as you want.

In the evenings on BT, you can do the same for 5.5p for 1 hour. (this is on BT Together 1), again you only pay the connection charge. I think the 1899 is actually for 90mins.
Beware that you don't stray over the hour though on BT.....
1 hour = 5.5p
1 hour 15 mins = 55p :eek:0 -
Thanks for your help guys. Dad decided to go for broadband in the end. Think it was the shove he needed:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
