New clothes. A new(ish) car and start saving for a mortgage.

I will finally be debt free in September this year after a 4.5 year battle. The feeling is amazing now that I am virtually at the end. I am going to take the financial lessons I have learnt and make my future something wonderful

    Well comfortable at least :-)

Well done for being nearly there!

When we get out of our worse debts (approx 13k worth of cc, od and car finance) we are buying a kitten :j be atleast 12 months away, realistically about 12-18 months away). Then when our loan is cleared, hopefully by feb 2015 we are saving for a trip back to Amsterdam, (our honeymoon location), with no kids, for our 5 yr anniversary in sept 2016. All out break in the poshest hotel, again where we stayed on honeymoon :D

when I am debt free I am going to save for a wedding/ house/ child! I also plan to do a bit of travelling too as I haven't been to many places and would love to see the world! xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.
  • I will be debt free on the 01/01/2013 (if not earlier) after a frugal 3 years however by doing so I managed to shave off 2 years of my DFD after my LBM in November 2009. :D

My first wage just for me, I will take my mum on a spa weekend as she has been my rock this whole time (debts were joined but in my name and as you can guess, I am single now for a while :rotfl: )

Anyway, after that, its saving for a house deposit. I am 40 next year and my aim is to be in my own house by no later than 41.
    LBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015 :(
    Debt Free Date: 14/11/2012 :j:j:j

Pardon me for asking, since I'm not on this forum as much as many of you, but what does LBM mean?

I'll also add that along with going on a nice holiday, I'd buy a few new pieces of furniture for my place.

I'd probably buy a new car too.

Trouble is, it sometimes seems to be SO FAR into the future that we'll all be driving "hover cars"!

    Oh well..
