Well, the salesman says that he has refunded me now. Again. it isn't in the bank yet but I'll give it some time to show(any idea how long?).

It was Elite Car Sales in Fife for those who were wondering. The manager didn't care and the salesman just lie's, badly.

Thanks again for all your help guys. I promise to try and not be so stupid next time..

Hi Saul, hopefully your refund will go through. It can take around 3 days to show in your normal account information.

There's a lot of it on this board but that's a bit ott there is it not? You've been very very wrong on a number of occasions from what I have seen and you don't tend to come back to threads or apologise so sometimes it is justified.

The behaviour for which you criticise vax is behaviour that you have been guilty of. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Half a dozen thick T&&ts who are too stupid to understand whats been written does not make someone wrong, you could bring a thousand dummies that dont "get it", it still does not make someone wrong.

I totally understand that and you are spot on there. It can be difficult to make some people understand. The trouble is once they are shown up to be wrong they get the proper hump and start following you round the boards trying to pick fault even if they've promised not to ;)
If you are linking to the "insurance" declarable.
Taking and offer of money from a criminal to help them avoid prosecution by the police is a crime, despite the MSE Idiots advice Bureau deciding otherwise. :rotfl:

It wasn't that at all and again, I would agree delibarately trying to cover up an uninsured driver is wrong. It was more a general observation on these things than anything.

What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

Yes, you are right about making people understand. Even when they have been comprehensively shown that the information they give is incorrect they still won't accept it. Some people on here also make unsubstantiated and false claims about being "followed" around the board too. Walter Mitty eat your heart out.:D

I think a lot of people think "It's the internet and it gives me access to every used car in the country" which is perfectly true.

However, they rarely seem to to give thought to what happens if things go wrong. They treat car buying like buying a DVD or second hand book.

I bought a 1 year old car from 200 miles away, when it went wrong or needed servicing it went to the local dealer under warranty.

It was never a problem for me

the reason I bought it was because it was £1000 cheaper than anything I could get locally
