Need a 4kw small efficient woodburner

Hello,
Can anyone recommend a 4kw woodburner? I've been told of the Chesney Flatford and a Woodwarm Foxfire, but i'm not sure if a Clearview might be better value for money in the long term.
Many thanks
J

  • Hi,
I would have a look at the Burley Debdale, said to be the most efficient at the moment.

Charnwood also do a nice 4 kw, the Country 4

    hope this helps. :money:

Have a look at whatstove.co.uk but bear in mind that there is no guarantee the reviewers know what they are talking about. It's a useful general guide, though.

I have two Charnwood Island's and cannot rate them highly enough. I particularly like the fact they have a single air control/intake which means they are dead simple to use and have had no problems with the glass blacking up, etc. They seem very efficient too.

The Island I has a nominal output of 5kw so slightly higher than what you are looking for but it really is a good stove.

... and no I don't work for Charnwood I just love their stoves!

Thank you for your replies, I've been looking on Whatstoves and the Charnwood Country 4 seems to get really good reviews so I think I'm going to go for that one. Many thanks J

I would also recommend the Morso Squirrel, cracking little stove I service / sweep loads of them.
