Morning all,
Heres the gumph...
Bought an LG home cinema kit from Argos back in March...
Worked OK with the odd occasional system freeze, but nothing to worry me as such..... (used a Samsung 50" TV with the system), done the latest firmware update too... (HX806SG)
2 weeks ago, i bought a Samsung 60" TV from Currys...
When watching a movie via the LG cinema kit, at first, everything works fine, but once the movie has finished (playing a Disc or watching via ext HDD), I get what appears to be a conflict.... or cinema kit freezing.
Neither TV or cinema kit remote works....
Eventually after pointing the TV remote and pressing many times the 'OFF' button, the TV turns off, then i can turn off the LG cinema box or go back to main menu, etc etc.....
(TV is PS60E550D)
Its not ideal, given i watch a lot of digital/disc movies, but something i could possibly live with (or sell 1 of them!)
Because i'm unsure of which is causing the problem, but guessing it could be the LG Cinema kit, is it something i could take back to Argos and ask to change for another unit, or credit note to buy another system from the store ??????
(dont think they sell it anymore)

Hiya
We have a board dedicated to all things technical and somebody there may be able to help you get things working, so I'll move your thread across. If this doesn't help then by all means come back here.

cheers for moving it.....
however, not a techie question, was more about being a consumer and taking goods back that i believe have possibly developed a fault further down the line (like a few months, and not a few weeks), and with the edition of something new thrown in, arguing a case with Argos.....
oh well, not to worry, may as well delete this post0 -
I would return the system to argos due to the system freezing with the old & new tv.
Then get hold of a Samsung system, as you can use the DVD remote with the TV. Also when the dvd player is online, if you turn it down the tv turns down aswell.
We have a Samsung 42" Plasma, with a Samsung HT-Z315R (1000w) tall boy speaker system. Its loud enough..0
