And here is a little cheary one to start your day I just found online in the Mirror:
One in three of the most common cancers could be avoided if people shed the flab.
Experts today reveal keeping a body mass index of under 25 may prevent a total of 18,600 cases a year.
It could reduce dramatically cancers of the breast, bowel, oesophagus, kidney, pancreas, womb and gallbladder.
But with obesity rates continuing to soar it is feared cases will rise. Prof Martin Wiseman, of the World Cancer Research Fund, said: “The evidence that being overweight puts you at increased risk of cancer is stronger than ever.
Come on, lets glug our shakes!! Happy Monday everyone!!Slimming World: SD: 2.05.16 SW: 13st10lb

Pap - when is your weigh in??
DO NOT EAT CLOSE TO WEIGH IN!! You'll just retain water and totally throw your losses out... (even though you will have lost!)
If you need a pick me up, go hop on the scales... that should cheer you up..!
not advocating scale hopping but it's better than eating...
Once you have your first weigh in,you will have a mega boost and you might find the urge to eat leaves....
And PAP, given your PCOS thing, i think you having a period is actually a great sign of normality returning, no?
Mine are more regular since on CD, but still light, so i consider it an indication of normality.....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I have had my weigh in but I have been feeling poop since Friday night if I am honest  Didnt have that much of a boost when I got my WINot beacuse of what I lost but I just didnt feel whoop whoop for losing ~ does that make sence? Regarding my period, no its not a good thing for me, you would think it would but its not. See I get countless other symptoms with it and if they wernt there I would feel more like a woman. My period doesnt do anything for me, except cost me money  also the amount is different that 'usuall' so I feel horrid. I just feel really down and I have no motivation or anything. I am sure it will pass. These havent been the worst days on the diet overall but they have been the worse mentally
Back off to lurkdom, dont want to depress a positive thread :rotfl:0 -

come back here missus!!!
did i miss your weigh in?! how much, spill!
and sorry for not understanding the PCOS thing, and everyone has a tough time of it mentally with PMT type cravings and blue-ness... mine can almost certainly be identified as that, but always after the event....
if you've been weighed, then maybe let yourself have a couple of slices of ham or a couple of chicken fillets just to satisfy yourself a little... some protein isn't gonna harm you, and might help if you've a heavy period....
i recommend lots of choc shakes half packet at a time as hot chocolate until the feelings subside..... and no lurking... this is a warts n all thread, lurking when you feel meh is unacceptable....
sorry again i missed your weigh in, did you post the results, i'm sure i read all the thread..... ????
Please drop me a text if you've got your mobile up and running so we can keep in touch more....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Pap, you cant lurk
If I'd lurked when I felt really bad the other day, I'd have probably given up by now.
I didnt see you post your WI result either.......tell usIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Didnt post my wi results, other things were being posted on here/dfw and I didnt want to over shadow them. Pcos is so complex, even most doctors dont understand it so no worries hunI just wanna go on top of a hill and scream :rotfl: Dreading tommorow when I have to be clap happy in work  I am sure it will all pass over soon, I just hope it doesnt roll into a full blown 'episode'.
I really dont want to cheat, I dont want anything but I am missing the food now, liquid diets are pants really
:rotfl: Were you there yesterday? I brought 8 mint choc shakes, 5 strawberry, 5 choc and 2 banana + tetra. So at least I have flavours I like. I did buy an extra porridge ~ yuk and soup just so its will be like 'eating'. I will try the soup tonight. Anyways lost 9lb, I wanted to lose 8lb so did good. Aiming for 4lb this week ~ fingers crossed0 -
