I have allways been told having one is pointless as nothing can be taken unless next of kin agrees. If they dont agree nothing can be taken!

Best plan is just to let your family know your wishes!

I've always felt that if I would accept other peoples organs if I or my children needed them then I too should be willing to give my organs, I have always had a card since I was around 14.

Thanks again to the OP for posting this here, there or anywhere.
I am sad at the ignorance out there surrounding organ donation and hope that highlighting organ donation in new ways, in new places will make more people think about the issue.
