Well DS1 is now home and I'm about to declutter his unruly hair style, he looks after the front but as he can't see the back he leaves it alone and it is matted up. When I replaced his PS3 controller earlier in the year we did a deal that the hair would come off on the first day of summer hols.

    Bathroom s&s done

Haven't been able to do much yesterday and today for the cake making and traipsing along to give them out at school this morning. Not feeling brilliantly steady today either. Differences with DH over a cheap short break somewhere (anywhere) during summer hols is tiring me out. The girls have asked a couple times in past couple of months to stay in a caravan. We have camping gear but that has been refused also. I've lost this fight it seems.

Hope everyone is keeping strong and motivated x

  • I have a guitar upstairs that I cant play, have had since I was 15 but it was a gift my dad brought me and despite it sitting untouched for about 10 years I hate the idea of getting rid of it but its pointless and could bring in a few needed pennies so I am considering putting it on gumtree. x

Wish I lived closer to you. But I'm skint anyway, so wouldn't be able to do anything about it in any case.

Managed to remove a whole binbag of DD gibble from the spare room as one of the cats has decided to wee in the corner  . Did a bunch of rearranging stuff as well, so it looks more like a bedroom instead of a dump. Or less like DD's old bedroom, at any rate. Must go back up there and sweep it, though.

I'm at the point where there are cupboards that need sorting, but not much that needs tidying or cleaning.
