My brother is on DLA for years and he requires a large toilet and the one we have is too small for him is their anything the DWP or the local council can do to help us get a larger toilet for him.
Thanks.

Your GP can help your brother in his efforts to lose weight.0

I don't know that there's such a thing as a "large toilet" but large toilet seats are available at a reasonable price.

As DLA is paid to cover the additional costs of a disability, this would seem to be a suitable item to spend it on.0 -

They do exist - bariatric toilets - but there are lots of cheaper adjustments that can be made, like a toilet support that fits around the toilet.

Social services may be able to help, you would need to contact your local council so they could assess your brother.Dum Spiro Spero0

Did you read post 3?
DLA is paid to assist in the additional costs of being disable. Buying a suitable toilet seems a good use of using this benefit.
Is he in council provided accommodation?Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Or get the local OT team out to do an assessment of his needs.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

No, living with parents in an owed home with a homeowner. Would he still qualify?Or get the local OT team out to do an assessment of his needs.
