    It isn't an MSI machine.
Sorry again, I certainly am getting confused - I need sleep!
  • It would seem that whatever price bracket you specify, somebody will come along and suggest an item in a higher one. Although in this case, suggesting one almost 25% dearer is just wasting people's time.

Apologies - Just thought it was a good deal and I really was trying to be helpful. Thinking outside of boundries can often pay off in the long run.

OK, I appreciate you had good intentions. It's just that there's a specific thread for your value of machine https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1147017
It's massive, but imagine what it'd be like if people started posting machines over £435 on it.
BTW, this amused me in the spec of yours....

I suggest a trip to your local PC world - ask to see the stock of out of date laptops - you may be surprised to hear that they hang onto (perhaps) 6 month old stock that has been unsold - make them an offer and get a bargain....
I also see that they have a stonker of a deal http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/samsung-np-rv510-a03uk-15-6-laptop-black-09785358-pdt.html
    This must be a mistake - a 15.6" dual (celeron) 4Gb//500Gb laptop for under £190 ??

Meaningless when it isn't actually available anywhere. It's a long discontinued model.

Don't buy a netbook to run Word and suchlike - the screen is too small.
A Notebook is generally considered to be a lightweight laptop.
Depending upon what else you need, you could do worse than getting one of the IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X series (I have an X41, which is just about fast enough).
