The nice postie delivered the UKPC "Final Reminder" today:D

Here's what it says if the payment isn't made within the next 14 days:-

"Failure to arrange for full payment within a further 14 days of this letter will result in UK Parking Control Limited instructing debt recovery agent who will then putsue the outstanding payment on our behalf"

So employee A will pass the matter on to employee B at the next desk:D It then goes on to say the following:-

"If necessary County Court proceedings will be commenced against you for the amount outstanding, interest and court costs. If the Court orders Judgment against you and payment of that Judgment is not made this may affect your ability to borrow money or obtain credit in the future. A warrant may also be issued by the couny court's appointed bailiff to recover the payment. At this point you would also become liable for the additional fees of the bailiff."

    Ho ho ho:D

First letter received from Debt Recovery + now :D

My car was also given a ticket for not displaying a valid ticket at a Toby carvery a couple of weeks ago too! I was 20 miles away at the time working so I look forward to the flurry of letters from LPS (Local Parking Security Ltd) trying to extract £60 from me.

    So, should I

    a) ignore
    b)ignore or
    c) ignore?

Clearly a trick question (You didn't think anyone would spot that did you!).

    The correct answer everyone, is:

    d) Completely ignore and forget about it :D

Reduced payment offer letter just arrived from Debt Recovery Plus today. It's amusing how it goes from "pay up or we take you to court" to "you can pay us less if you like".

They also have this on their website claiming they do take people to court:-

    http://www.debtrecoveryplus.co.uk/countycourtjudgements/

But nothing to say at which court the cases were heard or which PPC's. It's also interesting how a debt recovery company can actually take cases to county court on behalf of a PPC. :D

Erm, legally they can't take people to court (in the context of PPC tickets). They are 3rd party agents.

Forget VCS v HMRC even. Only the person who believes they are the creditor or a legal representative can issue a claim.

Ah, it's almost time for them to play their devastatingly cunning trump card: Pretending to be another debt collector (Zenith Collections) and having a sex change.

It's a part of the scam really enjoy as it show them at their most desperate.:beer:
