It quotes a price of £4 for 5 litres and Volvo has informed me when I asked:-

'Screenwash works to -28 degrees C with 50% concentration'.

Therefore will make 10 litres for £4 which works to -28 degrees C

Bought a 5l bottle of the Lidl winter screenwash yesterday.

Really good stuff. :T Cleans the windscreen perfectly, and doesn't smell nasty.

£5.99 for 5 litres, up to -60ºC undiluted, up to -20ºC diluted 1:2 (so it makes 15 litres).

I think this is actually better than the posh Sonax screenwash I bought last year.

  • I bought a few containers of the Lidl stuff but its not the same as the NATO approved one (not often you seen that on packaging) they were selling a few years back which basically still did 10x dillution down to -20.

I think it was basically suitable for de-icing jet fighters.

Worked very well up here in the Northern climes 2 years ago when we had the harsh winter.
