thanks, picked up the 2 bottles of the s/wash earlier but not used any yet as the washer bottle is full but ill let you know how it goes when i use it.

Do you mean add some meths to the cars windscreen bottle ?

Been thinking whether I should start topping up with just straight s/wash from now on.

"Comma" undiluted it won't freeze down to -65.

25% dilution it is good down to -25 which is about right for winter in Scotland.

Rest of the year 5% dilution id ok.

Become a distiller and make your own. The methanol and acetone foreshots from distillation are ideal. May involve legal grey areas

Think I paid about a tenner for 25l of carplan last year sometime. Worth an ask if you're friendly with your local parts places.

Only downside is, it's bit big to keep in the boot though in case you need it. :cool:

I've seen 75p for 1l in Wilkinsons for diluteable stuff; was during the summer though. The time to stock up on the stuff may have been & gone.
