Also, does anyone else look at their garden, wonder how the professional food growers are managing and think that food prices are going to go through the roof?

Morning everyone, Thank you all for the welcome.

The sun is out here too so a couple of loading of washing on the line including bedding, so hope they get dry.

I have started to list some stuff on ebay, got lots to get rid of so will do it now while I am not working. All money will be saved.

Roast chicken and vegs for tea , we had a late breakfast so piece of fruit for me and a sandwich for OH for lunch while hes watching Moto gp.
BM on. Will make some biscuits later to fill the tin up.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.:):)

    Good Morning everyone!

I don't often post in these threads but am feeling quite old style inspired today!

I am 3/4 through knitting a chunky scarf and have just started a lacy one in a fine (party angel) wool - think it will be too complicated for me though! All the knit togethers and yarn overs!!

I ordered a potato kit from a gardening magazine (postage only) and that arrived yesterday so need to get it sorted today.

Other plans include washing and ironing and I want to take some photos of my courgette flowers (mainly because I am amazed that they survived the flood!) also need to update my blog and I have pen pal letters to write. These take a while as I handwrite them all!

Trying to have a tidy up but I have so much stuff and so little room! I don't know how minimalists do it!

Would love to make some bread later if I have time - there are a few packet mixes lurking in the pantry. There just don't seem to be enough hours in a weekend - I don't know how these organised people get stuff done mid week!

Ex has moved back to his mum's, he's convinced we will get back together, I've said that we need to take things slowly and my feelings haven't changed. Not the best conversation to have at 2am after a long drive! But it's all be said now, need to try and move on.

Woah hold on lady, whats happened, ??? last we heard you and OH were still going strong, hope you are ok love xxx

I fell out of love with him :( we just weren't getting on at all, he wasn't treating me very well and I wasn't very good to him either, and I think things have gone too far to get back to how we were. I'm not in love with him anymore...So two weeks ago I told him and we've decided to separate and see what happens in the future!

We have been discussing this on the store cupboard thread and a lot of us have started stocking up on tinned and frozen veg, tinned and frozen fruit flour, pasta and meat (The grain harvest has failed as well) Potato harvests are also in trouble. My GG has told me that his suppliers have doubled the prices, because they are having to import from abroad

    Afternoon all,
Hope you are all nice and dry.
Have totally lost the plot today after a nice relaxing day yesterday.
Went to start the car and flat battery ( i haven't used it for weeks i knew i should have started it last week)
Have put battery on charge( i think) spent all morning worried i have the connection round the wrong way:eek:

Went up stairs to change beds and clean bathroom and just realised haven't put the beef in the oven!

Honestly dont know where my head is (or wants to be)

Sorry to hear your sad news bramble1, sometimes the best decision is the hardest one xxx

    Good and bad this morning

Good was getting all the washing dry on the line for a change

Bad was my coffee pot 's valve sticking again, and flooding my kitchen with a full pot of coffee I have just emailed Russell Hobbs with a complaint about it as its the third time this has happened in as many weeks.

I enjoy my coffee and Sundays especially as my very busy eldest DD always comes to see my on Sunday mornings and we have coffee , cake and a natter This morning she spent clearing up the mess in my kitchen
I have white and pale beech units in my kitchen so you can imagine what a mess it looked .I am so cross. My DGD bought the same model for my DD for Christmas last year because I was so pleased with it, and I had recommeded it to other people as well and its starting to do the same thing with her one.The valve sticks and the top coffee basket just overflows everywhere
So a very unhappy coffee-less bunny at the moment
Taplady's drizzle cake was delicious though and DD has put in an order with me for one for next week.
I wonder if I'll here back from their customer care dept I bet don't, apart from the mess its just a waste of decent coffee as well Grrrrr
