Dine in for £10 with Aldi - Challenge

My other half regularly buys us the M&S Dine in for £10 deal. We have noticed a drop-off in the quality of the wine and the size of the portions.

So, he decided today to see what Aldi can offer for £10 using the same criteria - a bottle of wine, a main, a side and a dessert.

He came back with:

Salmon Wellington
Baby Jacket Potatoes marinated in herbed oil dressing
A large pack of Frozen Summer Fruits
Bottle of Toro Loco Tempranillo

All for less than a tenner!

Anyone care to join the challenge an come up with some alternative menus?

Supposed to be a great wine (Toro Loco).

Definitely! The Salmon Wellington (as another poster says) is huge!

It would probably serve four. Loads of salmon in it - not just a lot of pastry.

rofl , i have a better challenge buy fresh ingredients and cook yourself a meal without added salt , additives, sugars and other such things they put into prepared meals.
