Best Value phone and boradband package

Options
Hi, my contract has expired with talktalk in April and I did not renew it and still using them, I pay £23.60 a month for my current package. I did ring them up and find out what they have on offer, but the sale person wanted all my details first and I ended up telling them I was with them, but I would not give him my details until they told me what package that was on offer. He said that he would not do that until he looked at my account and then he could see what he could do for me.

I though they should have packages to offer their customers and for customers to choose whether to use their package or not.

Should that sale person have advice me what their current packages on offer and then let me decide whether I should stay with them or not.

You contract has not expired, only your minimum term has. You are currently on a contract that requires 30 days notice.
Since prices will vary according to what exchange you are on (broadband is exchange-specific), they can't give you prices unless you give the the basic info.

Hi thanks for that, I had a contract for a year with talktalk and that expired in April, if I give 30 days notice then they will release me for their contract is that what I have to do. I went into Orange shop and they gave me a quote there and then for a year contract and it was better than talktalk.

Yes, if your minimum term has completed then just get your MAC from your new supplier and 30 day notice will apply.
TT to Orange? Frying pan to fire...

how do you know it was better that Talk Talk, you didn't get a new quote from them as you didn't give your details ! A lot of companies will come up with some deal to retain customers.

Have you been happy with the service from Talk Talk(speeds and interuptions) ?
