Hi what are the best batteries to buy for the above.
I have seen camera batteries but they are expensive, but if they do last longer it might be worth it.
Going on hols for 2 weeks and dont want to take a battery charger with me.
Thanks

7DayShop are good, but have you tried PentUpEnergy? Their prices are very keen and the service is outstanding - I ordered a replacement Nikon battery on Thursday night and it arrived on the Saturday by 2nd class post!0

7DayShop.
I use the own brand AA Size 2600mAh. The higher the mAh, the more charge they can hold, but the 2600 are good enough in my opinion.
Well, I had some Uniross 1500mAh batteries lasting longer than my cheapo 2000mAh, so that's not totally true: there's a factor quality coming in.
I bought many batteries on eBay, FujiCell, and I'm very happy with them. Note that the charger is very important as well: a bad charger will ruin your batteries in no time. I can't recommend fast chargers for instance, they strain the batteries too much. My charger takes half a day or more to charge my batteries, but it does the job properly.0 -
If you are going to take a lot of pictures then you should take a charger with you or expect to spend a lot of money on batteries.
7dayshop do some great deals on chargers and high capacity batteries.
Also, Aldi do rechargeable batteries for £1.99 for a pack of 4 and I have found these to be really good. They seem to hold a charge for a good length of time.
They also do them in AAA size for the same price. They are usually by the checkout.0 -
I have a uniross charger, will it work in mexico? it is quiet large though I might need to get a smaller one.
My unit and batteries are nearly 10 years old so they have lasted well, We will have 4 digital cameras between us thinking on it, kids have their own ones, so I guess it makes sense to bring a charger, and maybe a few throw away batteries as well.0 -
It should work anywhere if you have the correct adapter.
I would think about a new one anyway. If there are 4 of you using it you would probably be better with a high speed one.
I just bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and it is really good. Mine came with a cable for charging from the car cigarette lighter as well.

I also have one of those chargers and it works very well. Remember that there is also a chunky mains plug adaptor needed when charging from the mains. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
