Address Of House To Rent Associated With !!!!!! Site

Hello Everyone,

I've been lurking on this forum on and off (lots of useful info) :) and decided to join up as I have a question and I was wondering what other peoples thoughts are!

I am due to go and visit a rental property on Tuesday and to help me with directions I decided to put the full address into google knowing it would bring up google maps.

However when scrolling down the page as well I noticed that the same address is associated with a !!!!!! site!

I have no problem whatsoever with the owner of the house having that as their business what I'm concerned about is the address clearly on the website! (in small letters at the bottom, however it's still there)

I don't like the thought of moving into a home knowing that the address is on this !!!!!! site! Not sure why, it's not likely that anyone is going to come knocking on my door but still makes me feel a bit uneasy!

I'm not sure if I should mention it to the letting agency?!
Any thoughts on this?

I really didn't expect to find what I did lol

Thank you in advance :)

Move in and check in the loft or garden shed for any forgotten "treasure"!

If you're single and female I would leave it.

I'd ring up the agent and suggest they Google the address themselves and see what they say.

Still, there's no legislation to say that you can't run a business from any address as long as the company's activities are legal ones. It might be a different kettle of fish for a rental property but perhaps that is the reason it is now vacant.

It could be that it hasnt been removed from the business pages `by accident` i would mention it and see what they have to say. It should be easily fixed.

I can see why your asking for advise :rotfl:

Let us know how you get on either way.

Yes I'm female and single so feeling more uneasy about it.

I'm going to call the letting agency on Monday and see what they say - assuming they are not aware. I'm assuming the business is the landlords but could even be a passed tenant! Maybe the landlords don't know!

    Thanks all :)
  • I'd be worried about hidden cameras in the bathroom or something if it's the landlord's business!

Another possibility to this is that !!!!!! was never associated with the address but someone is doing this because they bear some sort of grudge. The links may rule this in or out.
