Bit confused why posts are being deleted...

If I had seen your post promoting your website, I would have clicked the :spam: button, anti self-promotion is one of the rules that I back to the hilt, I see it as the thin edge of the wedge and anyone that gets away with it once will try it on again and next time they might be doing it for profit...
If I was doing it for profit, then please mark it Spam all day long. But I wasn't. My site is a personal one, that I happened to spend a great deal of time setting up, as a fun way to help raise money for charity. I did include it in my post to tell people where to get the free trial, but not once tried to promote my site in anyway.
And this...doing it for profit and that is not what this site is all about.
Pleaaassee! What did it just sell for? :spam:0 -

As I said earlier, it is his site and he makes the rules0 -
Sure, my sites traffic would increase to 50k visitors a day, just because they saw a post about a free trial on here, and then someone mysteriously offers me a ton of money to buy my site, that makes zero £'s.0

The money supermarket people have not paid all that money for someone else to advertise their website and take traffic away from here, have they?
This is not a community website, it's mainly a money-making website for the owners, and also a money-saving website for the users. As it's free and there is a lot of good advice (to be taken with a pinch of salt, but good pointers), I still use the forum part of it.0 -
