Bit confused why posts are being deleted...

Hi,
I posted this morning in the Freebies section about a free 6 week trial of Pedigree Joint Care, available through my website.
My post was removed and I was banned due to my username being the same as my website name. ( I had registered under my website name to advertise the site here to people.)
Seems a bit particular, its not like i included the full domain.
Before anyone questions it, no, I don't not sell anything, the website is completely free and in fact, with peoples participation, it raise's money for charity.
Anyhow, fair enough. So I reposted using my normal account, and the post has been removed again.
What gives? I clearly stated that neither I or my site has any affiliation with Pedigree, and I was merely pointing out a way that people can potentially get a 6 week free trial of what is normally a relatively expensive product.
Can someone please explain what I am presumably doing wrong?

Take a look at the site rules and you will find that self promotion is not allowed.0

the problem lies in the fact that its your web site....Ex forum ambassador

The thing is Pedigree contacted me to offer the trial through my site. Thats why I directed people there.
Presumably under those rules, with the problem being that its my site, it would be fine for another member here to point people in the direction of the site?
I could understand if I was requiring people to buy something etc, or I stood to make some monetary gain, but I don't.
My site lists dog walks in the UK, and for every walk that gets added, I donate £1 to Dogs Trust. Simple as that. No advertising or anything.
Seems a pretty draconian ruling to me.0 -
The owner of this site decides on the rules that he wants and visitors must abide by those rules or seek council elswhere, it is one thing that is not open to discussion.
You can argue all you like but in the end, it is the owner's decision and all of your protests can and will be removed at the drop of a hat.0 -
Thats fine. Just about to embark on a huge "report" fest of all the other countless posts that link to companies online.0

but those links to companies are not posted by the owner ??
I am sure forumteam will not appreciate your actionsEx forum ambassador

So as I said, if someone else posted my site and advised of the trial, it would be ok?0

assuming it was not another "new user" who suspiciously joins later just to post the siteEx forum ambassador

Trust me, I'm not going to bother. It's not worth the aggro. You try to do something nice and helpful, and get treated like your doing something wrong. No wonder society has got worse over the years with too many little Hilter's controlling things.
Sorry for the rant, but what really grates, is the fact that someone went to the trouble to report it, and rather than thinking to themselves, "hey, someone heres trying to do a nice thing" they decide " arrghh, there talking about a website that they set up, must delete, must delete, must delete...."0 -
If I had seen your post promoting your website, I would have clicked the :spam: button, anti self-promotion is one of the rules that I back to the hilt, I see it as the thin edge of the wedge and anyone that gets away with it once will try it on again and next time they might be doing it for profit and that is not what this site is all about.0
