  • Generally speaking, the bigger the company, the slower the upgrade because IT departments justify their existence by tinkering with functionality for a while.

    The multinational I work for only started its MSO2007 roll-out in 2010 and suspended it half-way through when 2010 was released. The 2010 roll-out has only just completed. Many users jumped straight from XP/MSO2003 to Win7/MSO2010. That, my friends, is a shock to a 50-year-old's system!

    A lot of multinationals are behind us; 2003 is still common enough for .doc to be the preferred format.
    I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
    But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.
