Mobile phone contract screw up

Hi everyone, need some advice

I recently upgraded my mobile phone contract through carphone warehouse for an Orange contract to get a new S3. Something's been lost in the pipeline and it turns out my contract upgrade hasn't been processed, so I'm on my old plan and out of contract, but I have my new phone... I can move to a contract which is cheaper 15.50 vs 36pm, but should I? Should I call Orange and tell them they've messed up, or just go ahead and save some money?

Thanks

J

You know what the right answer is...

Chances are there will be some record of the upgrade somewhere and at some point they'll tie it all up.

You can leave it and hope they miss it, or call them, but if you go ahead with your plan don't be suprised if they later call asking for full payment for the contract or the phone.

oh what an honest person op is, what if they did the opposite would you call to complain?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Granted, but if you buy something in a supermarket, get home find out it went through at a price lower than you were expecting to pay, do you go back to the shop to give them the difference?

I do know the right answer, but its just so tempting to not do it! I just wondered if anyone has ever been through the same thing really

Given that some MSE members on here find, after some months because they didn't check their bank statements, that they were on the wrong contracts from that agreed and the network says "tough", then I am in a bit of a dilemma here.

My middle road would be as follows.

Put the difference between what you think the new contract should cost -v- what they are charging you into a monthly deposit a/c.

Then, if they tie it up in 6 months, you have the money to pay it off. If they don't, then it's a windfall.

That isn't being dishonest, it's being "not pro-actively over honest"
