JackieO - My thoughts are with you today.
Monnogran - Aren't families terrible? My DS1 (24) has nothing to do with the rest of us and I haven't seen my DGD since she was 3 weeks old and she's coming up for 1 now. Still, I live in hope!

The weather is fantastic at the moment and the washing is blowing away nicely. I advertised some more tools on my new favourite selling site and have someone coming tomorrow to look at all of them. Feel like I could be on a roll!

    Take care. XX

    Welcome Sunshine
JackieO - thinking of you today x

Had a nice day out and about despite the showers! Met the girls for lunch, bought a few things in the sales. Popped to my parents, saw my Dad but my Mum was in bed asleep as she isn't feeling too well.

I'm just about to make my curry, starving!!!

JackieO, big hugs for today for you and yours!
Holy moley, slep till 10 this morning, and as a result still feel out of sorts! Have done 3 loads of washing, all dried on the whirly thank goodness, still one to do tomorrow and the beds need stripping. DS's provisional license has arrived, he will be 17 on Friday, has now decided he doesn't want a lesson on his birthday cos he wants him and I to do something.....still waiting to find out what kind of something!!! Will phone the driving instructor to book him a lesson as close to birthday as possible, grannies are chipping in with us for some lessons and he will need to find a job to fund the rest. Maybe this will spur on his sister to take lessons again, a race to the test!!!

monnagran - lovely to hear that despite what has gone on your DGD still emails you, hoping in the future things will be different

Hugs etc for those with problems, specially with the losing jobs, can see it happening at our place soon and am keeping fingers crossed for myself

Not a lot of OS, Dannii the vito went for MOT this morning and sadly failed, not on much, but will need to get a few bits, luckily OH's sons can do the work for him.

Went into town, it was club day, this is where all churches, cubs, brownies etc parade around town, watched parade and went for cheapy meal in pub. While out got some orange wool to make what I call the 'bouncing turd' lol from the edf advert, aparently my DGDs love it, found a crochet pattern on web so am going to make them one each

Enjoy the rest of your weekend xxx

    Evening all,

Did not get up till 10 this morning :o, and had to be at my dads home at 11 for the 'summer' fayre, I say summer but it has been pouring all day, and we have flooding again. Was a nice day though, and all the older folk had a great time.

Jackie O hope today has not been too sad for you xxxx (ps I ordered your book, looking forward to reading that.)

    Have good evenings all xx

    Good afternoon everyone
Well day started well with my youngest Dd arriving with a bunch of flowers for me,bless her Its 9 years today since my OH passed away and she always buys me flowers, then we went over to the shops to get shome shopping(two minutes from my house to precinct)and we got drenched coming home as it was as though someone had turned a tap on.She went off home and I put my shopping away and whipped up a Lemon drizzle cake from taplady's recipe, delicious,as my sis-in-law was coming for a visit this afternoon. She arrived also bearing flowers ,so my house smells gorgeous at the moment.A mixture of home baked cake and fresh flowers.I am going to DD's for dinner tonight which is nice as she doesn't like me to be on my own today.
DGD Holly got a first in her end of year thing at Uni so she's a happy bunny and Mikey's report was excellent and he will get a big hug from his Granny when I get there later on.His teacher apparently wrote that he is a very happy, helpful, little boy who is a pleasure to teach which I thought was nice He rarely says a lot about school so its nice to know that he is doing well.
Right time to go and get the coffee on and tidy up before I go to DDs for the evening
Have a good one whatever you are doing
    Take care

    Hi all :)

I read more than I post these days but I wanted to say hi to all and especially JackieO whose posts I always read with pleasure. I hope today went as well as it could and you have been in my thoughts today.

Floss2 - where is your allotment? Lawsons Road? Well Jell - my DDad had one there when I was a teenager and I loved it! No allotments where I live so we have dug up the lawn and planted veggies instead :D

Sunshine - I was made redundant at the beginning of June and have now started a new job - I hope you get the same luck

Lots of hugs for those that want them x

Feeling a bit brighter today. Went to end of term party at school yesterday evening, got a lovely bouquet of flowers as I leave next week. Bit sad now its here but know I have made the right decision.
