I had to go to Canary Wharf today, and noticed in the front of Boots store, there were loads of mags. I asked if I could take 2 and was told "yes they're the old ones now, so I won't bother to scan them".
I felt quite smug, but when I looked in the back..............both had the back page torn out!
I went to another smaller Boots with my sister to collect a free baby pack and her body science product. Fully expecting to argue her case for her (as she didn't believe she could use it on any product), when the lady in front of us swiped out an email from head office and told the young man what for. It seems she'd been in last week and they refused it, so had wrote to head office.
He told her he could only accept the voucher, if he could keep the email. She said no , as it was her property. They called the manager who said she could keep her email. Needless to say my sister's transaction went through very smoothly

I did ask if she was an MSE'er, she didn't have a clue what I meant...............or so she said!!!!We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................0 -
Thanks to whoever first spotted this one!! I have now have in my posession... one foot creamy thing (£3.95)*they had tons in stock in one store* then i went to another store in portsmouth and got a mousse(£5.95)...then i went to another one in portsmouth and got a £6.95 body contouring cream..i may have seen if i could get another mousse for £5.95 or so!!
I now smell divine.. toning up the wobbly bits.. and my feet smell nice (a rare thing I can assure you!)
Thanks to whoever did all the donkey work finding out about these vouchers... *grins*
As for Boots... It's employees like me that will milk the system for its worth in Boots (I worked there for 3 years and then when i went off to university they took away my discount card despite the fact that i still work for them in holidays...grrr) I don't bear a grudge or anything !!
Thank you very much for pointing this out

There was nothing on the shelves at my local Boots on my second visit so I asked. The girl said that they were out of stock at the warehouse so I could chose any product from the range. They had no products there at all so i tried another very tiny Boots in the next town and got another bodyscience worth £7.95. Next I went to another town with a larger Boots and more tills/doors and came away with two more both £6.95.
This was last weekend so please can someone try it again. Local Boots still out of stock. I just chose my product andwent to the till with my coupon and card and everything went through without any problem.
And dont forget to collect a free copy of the mag each tiem you go through the till. Make sure its the April/May version not the May/June which has just appeared.

chocmuffin, i must admit i'm not impressed with the stuff i've tried, like you say avon is better. i wash my hands a lot at work so am keeping the hand cream in my bag, seeing as it was free i'll use it ten times a day lol! it's not much good though. the firming cream isn't moisturising at all, nor is the scuplting mousse, i thought they were worth a try on my stretched pregnant belly but am thinking i'd be better off using something more moisturising. the firming cream is cooling though so it's really nice on hot tired legs and feet, i'm running out of my usual stuff for hot legs so this is a good freebie, huge pot it is too.
maybe the things i've tried are more for keeping skin firm, and aren't suited to dry skin. i'd like to try the foot cream, the exfoliator, hair minimiser and the contour gel but can't find any lol! i must say that the three things i've tried haven't impressed me so i won't be buying them again.
as for people picking up more than one mag and more than one freebie, the same happened with the blusher pointsback last year, and there were people buying the whole shelf full of cheap stuff during the natural collection points offer - remember the toe separators? (no, i don't, never saw one lol!). i do think it's a bit mean to clear the shelf, but i don't see much wrong in collecting 3 or 4 freebies in total, boots ought to put a stop to it somehow by linking the mags to the cards so people can only get one mag, or making you use your card when using the voucher, and not letting temp cards use it. if they wanted to they could limit how many times you use each offer, like they do with their double points vouchers that can only be used twice. that way people wouldn't be able to take too much advantage (no pun intended) and there would be enough for everyone.52% tight0 -
If I get any spares from freebies like this I put the extras towards freebies for school tombolas or put a collection of items together to make hampers for raffles etc. So "everybody" gets something out of them - excuse dreadful pun!

thats a great idea, sounds terrible but I never thought of doing this, I will definatly make a Body science hamper (as been collecting different products each time I see them ) for kids school raffle or fund raising events. Thanks for thisThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
yes, boots do a lot for our school fete :rotfl:
last year there was a whole natural collection/cucumber stall collected by myself (all for free, every time i was going to buy something in boots i got enough natural collection or cucumber products, got the points back on them and then bought my own stuff with the points so all the natural collection/cucumber stuff was effectively free because it all cost less than the amount of points i got back), and loads of blushers from the pointsback promotion for a girly stall. i've only had 3 bodyscience things and have used all 3 but if i get any more they will be for the school52% tight0 -
finally got some freebies - went in wednesday and received one free item and picked two other magazines up on the way out - went back in yesterday and used one in one store and the other in another boots and picked another mag up which i then used in our other boots - luckily we have 3 boots in bradford - so, i have 4 freebies and 2 more magazines to use today.......hope they dont recognize - feel so cheeky but good......the only thing is though - i ended up giving my daughter 2 things and my sis nicked one off me too, so, ended up with only 1 item for myself.......0
