I went in twice yesterday and got 2 body scrubs.
I know it is a bit greedy but it doesn't say 1 per customer.

I finally got a body scrub today!!! I picke dup 2 more mags and will be getting more goodies tomorrow. I have taken far too many trips into town trying to get the foot cream not to take advantage now :-)

I was told today I could have anything from the body science range - so I did - I got my 2 free pots of stuff and picked up another 3 mags on the way out the door.....you'd have thought they'd have taken the magazines off display!!

I thought they has yesterday as there were none to be seen, I was having a day in manchester and was really looking forward to visiting boots a couple of times and getting some freebies but no mags so no freebies, I was devastated i even queued at Customer Services to ask about the magazine and i got a blunt "no we haven't any !" as if to say had luck !

I wanted to try and get a freebie of something i haven't got .

Finally got 2 products today. The girl at the back of the store scanned the voucher without questionning. however, I had a 5 minute wait at the front of the store...the manager said I had to pay the difference between my product and the £3.95 on the voucher. I told her that was rubbish...head office recognised that the product was out of stock and had changed the tills accordingly. I felt very smug as the voucher took the balance to £0.00 and the face of the manager dropped as she realised her customer knew more than she did...

I was feeling cheeky and got 2 products today. The nice checkout girl knew what I was up to (as I wasn't buying anything else) and whispered to me, "I've got most of this range at home, too!" And another Boots girl was in the queue with her voucher and product!

It's quite funny, a small branch I went to were aware of what's going on with this, but the large branch the other day needed to be educated!

Are these products any good? Can anyone that has actually used these products recommend them?

I have the hand and nail cream and I have used better hand creams from Avon. In the past I have gone out of my way to stock up on freebies only to find them unused on my shelf months later due to the fact that they are no good. I might try the foot cream if I can get hold of it.

If anyone is in the Romford area the boots there has loads of magazines at the front.

Watch out for a dark haired cashier in her 30's who is very possessive over the magazines. I only wanted the freebie for myself and as I was with my partner I told him to sign up for a card and get one too. There were no foot creams but there was one hand cream and also body cream left. Another assistant told me that I could get something else so I got a body cream for other half and a hand cream for myself.

Silly woman on the till firstly started to tell me that magazine must be scanned before I could use the voucher, duh of course, she then said that only when the foot cream and hand cream have sold out, then we can have something else (more expensive stuff).

She also advised me and my partner who was with me at the time that he would not be able to get the offer on a temporary card. She then almost snatched the other spare voucher out of my hand. I tried to argue my point that we were at least entitled one per person but she decided to use an agressive tone so I told her that I wasn't going to argue with her and that I will take the handcream and my drink and go. Previous posts have informed me that this offer CAN be used with temp cards so she either lied or she did not know.

Oh and I forgot to mention that she was bleating on about the possibility of "people coming into the store 20 times to use vouchers". O.K whatever. Is she losing money by giving out these freebies? It's not as if I wanted to clear the shelves.

I could have made off with another 20 mags if I had wanted to :roll eyes icon:

That's so annoying! :rolleyes: It's not like it says anywhere that you're only allowed one per person, and even Boots staff are grabbing loads of the stuff for themselves! And like you said, it's not like you're walking off with a basket full of the stuff...

Anyway, I don't feel guilty for getting more than one of this stuff, as I've been telling everyone else about this (can you believe there are people in this world who don't know about the Boots mag! LOL) :eek: !
