Cannot find a job the center gave me-will I be sanctioned??

Hi,

So one of the staff gave me a job to apply for, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. It was supposedly on the Barnardo's website, but it doesn't exist-it's supposed to close on the 22nd of July. I've tried contacting Barnardo's, but can't get hold of anyone relevant. Will the job center sanction me for not applying even though I can't find it??

Surely you would just go back to your advisor and ask them?

They might sanction you for spelling 'centre' the American way :rotfl:
Seriously just contact the job centre - and make a record of the conversation. Then you've covered yourself.

My next appointment is on Thursday (19th-so 2 days until the job's closing date) and I've e-mailed them (nothing back yet though), it might be too late by then.

Go back to the JC+ and ask! (Do you really need to be told this?).

You have 9 days before the alleged advert closes, plenty of time to clear this up with the JC+.

Put your effort into this rather than worry about a sanction.

I know! That's my spellchecker!!
I've e-mailed the head office. I'll try and call tomorrow, but I don't think I'll have any luck.

I am putting effort into this-I've rang (and e-mailed) everyone up I can today and I only wanted to check if they could sanction me or if anyone else had any other advice.

Yes they can, providing you've been given sufficient information to apply for the job
