Thanks lynsayjane and chica_fi for your words of encouragement :D
It's when you see the weight loss gradually increasing that spurs you on. Also, a lot of my clothes are starting to feel much looser on :j

I agree lyns - JTs are DEFINITELY part of a healthy balanced diet :p , also, jelly babies, wine gums, chocolate etc etc!! Now I really must focus properly ;)

    Hi diary

I'm feeling rather apprehensive tonight  Tomorrow DH and I have to attend Leeds Crown Court where the two scum-bag burglars who burgled our house last November are up for trial! They are brazenly pleading "Not Guilty", despite SOOO much evidence against them:mad: We are hoping that they will change their plea at the last minute as I really DO NOT want to see them. At the moment they are just 'shadows' in my house, but if I have to see them tomorrow, then when I get back home, I will 'see' them walking through my house (IYSWIM).
    I will report back tomorrow.

Just to update on the burglars!!! - we went to Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday and luckily didn't actually have to stand in the witness box and give evidence as one of them changed his plea to guilty and the other was convicted of 'receiving and handling' stolen goods. They couldn't prove BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT that he had committed the burglary, so he got 2 1/2 yrs and the other one got 4yrs :j
Obviously DH and I were greatly relieved (and treated ourselves to a Pizza Hut :p ).
Will try and forget the toe-rags now and get on with our lives

    Hey medman :hello:

I was born in Leeds 39 years ago and have never moved away.

Where do you live now? Still 'up north' or have you ventured 'down south'?

Hi sorry for the slow reponse, been away for a bit.

I'm currently living in Newcastle but travel to Leeds pretty often to visit family.

I joined the Army in '82 and have lived all over the place since. Aldershot, Colchester, Northern Ireland, and mostly Germany. Hoping for a move to York next summer. Also had the pleasures of Falkland Islands, Bosnia, Kosovo, Kenya, Belize, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Keep up the effort you're doing really well

    cheers

Hi diary - time for my weekly weigh-in and I have been bad :o
Last week DD was on school hols and we had a McFlurry on Wednesday and then that evening I went out with girls from work to Nando's and had a lovely meal there. So I can't really grumble that I've put a lb back on - must get focused now though - only 7 weeks to Portugal

    16/04/07 = 12st 3lb
    23/04/07 = 11st 13lb
    30/04/07 = 11st 12lb
    07/05/07 = 11st 10.5lb
    14/05/07 = 11st 9.5lb
    21/05/07 = 11st 9lb
    28/05/07 = 11st 8.5lb
    04/06/07 = 11st 9.5lb

    Hi diary,

I feel so guilty for not keeping up with my diary :o

This was also supposed to be my conscience with my weight loss efforts and can't I just tell that I've not been conscientious with it!!! I still weigh 11st 7lb and we go to Portugal in 11 days time!!!! My target loss was 21lb and all I've managed is 10lb - not very good at all. I'll try and lose another 2/3lb so it will be nearly a stone.

Today I've been shopping with DD who had a teacher training day from school and we bought some last minute holiday clothes - she got two pairs of shorts, a t-shirt and some beads. I got some cropped trousers and flip flops - went to Freeport at Castleford with my mum. It's 20 years since my dad died today  and I wanted to keep mum's spirits up - think I succeeded :o .

I will need to take the £500 we need for the holiday out of DD's savings account as DH is self-employed and while we are away for 2 weeks, he won't be earning. I feel guilty about doing this, but we simply don't have another choice. We need to pay the cattery £124 and my car tax needs renewing by the end of July - £140.

Right, I'm off to watch Big Brother now, but I will try VERY hard to keep up with my diary :o

    Bye for now,
    Kaz xx

    Evening diary,

It's been a while again, but I'm here now to update the weight-loss and the holiday to Portugal in 2 days time :j :j

Unfortunately, my willpower waned over the last few weeks and I have only managed to lose 10lb :o . I wanted to get to about 10st 10lb but I weigh 11st 7lb and have had to buy size 14s. Never mind, I really need this holiday, so I'm not going to let a few lbs spoil it. I will try to be good on hol and do a lot of swimming too :p

DD is SOOO excited - we've just packed the cases and off to bed soon - need an early night as we are up at 4:30am  on Monday for our lift to the airport - fly at 8am and arrive Portugal 11am, so in time for lunch and some SUN!!

    Bye for now,
    Kaz xx
